Doutzen is full sister to Wouter and Berber. We brought her over from Holland together with Berber, who is one year older. We only backed Doutzen in 2014, when she was 5 years old. How she is under saddle now tells us that that was a good decision. She behaves in a mature way, and is more balanced and stronger than most 3-year-olds that only have been under saddle for a couple of months.
We took Doutzen to the 2014 FHAGBI inspections, where she was taken into the studbook with a 3rd premie. Doutzen has schooled a bit over the last couple of months, and has shown a talent for dressage. She goes round the arena with such elegance, roomy paces and self-carriage. She truly is a horse that you could look at all day under saddle. Her forwardness and willingness to work make her a perfect experience day horse as well. A couple of people have already had the pleasure of riding Doutzen on a hack from our farm and even on the beach. We hope Doutzen will continue to be the pleasure to work with that she has been so far and have no doubt she’ll win more hearts in the future.
